About Us
Creating safe, supportive environments
At Clearhaven Support Services, our vision is to create a safe, supportive and respectful environment where people feel genuinely cared for, valued and understood.
Our Vision
We aim to support individuals to live with dignity, confidence and independence while feeling secure in the knowledge that their needs, choices and well-being truly matter.
Our Mission
To provide compassionate person-centred supports that are tailored to each individual's unique needs, goals and circumstances. We deliver with patience, empathy, and respect.
Our Values
What we stand for
Compassion
We approach every person with kindness, empathy and understanding. We recognise that everyone's experiences are different, and we take the time to listen, support and care without judgement.
Respect & Dignity
We respect each person's individuality, privacy, culture and personal choices. We believe everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and to feel safe and valued in all interactions.
Choice & Control
We support people to make their own decisions and to have control over their lives and the supports they receive. We work alongside individuals, not over them.
Safety & Responsibility
We are committed to safe high-quality support practices. We take responsibility for our actions, follow clear policies and procedures and prioritise the wellbeing of those we support.
Honesty & Integrity
We act ethically, communicate openly and build trust through transparency, accountability and doing what we say we will do.
How We Work
We don't just assign a worker — we find the right one
We support participants across Sydney with a focus on the Southeast and Inner West. Here's how we begin with a new participant.
It starts with our nurse lead
Our nurse lead can provide the initial support shifts herself. By working alongside the person, she gets to know their routines, communication, preferences, support needs and what they would like to work towards.
The right support worker for you
She then helps select a support worker suited to that person. We take the time to find someone who is the right fit rather than assigning just anyone.
A gradual, supported introduction
She introduces them gradually and shadows the handover where needed, remaining involved while they get to know each other. We work out the pace of that transition with the participant.
Staying involved once support begins
Once regular support is underway, we review support notes, stay in contact and respond when something needs to change. Our aim is for the participant to have support that is consistent and feels right for them.
We also support people with household tasks and practising everyday skills. If you're working with someone who may benefit from this approach, we're happy to talk through what they're looking for and confirm whether Clearhaven has the right availability and experience to support them.
